About this Masterclass

The Physiology of Fear is an expert-led masterclass on what happens in the body when we feel afraid, and how to turn the fight-or-flight response into energy for action. Fear shows up first as a physical reaction, such as a racing heart and tight muscles, and it often decides whether the pitch gets made or the risk gets taken.

Your team learns how the stress response works and why it can hold people back at work, then practises a technique for moving through fear and acting anyway. They leave with a tool they can repeat before high-stakes decisions.

Inside the session

01 · THE THEORY

Understand fear in the body

Understand fear in the body

The session explains what happens in the body when we feel fear, from the rush of adrenaline to the changes in heart rate and breathing, and why this fight-or-flight response can hold people back at work. Understanding the mechanism makes it easier to work with.

02 · THE PRACTICE

Learn to move through it

Participants take part in a guided practice that lets them feel the fear response in the body and learn to work with it. They leave with a technique they can repeat before a high-stakes decision, so they can act while the fear is still there.
